THE ROLE

We are recruiting talented and motivated individuals to join our team delivering data projects for clients across the globe. As a Data Strategy Lead Consultant, you will guide our clients in developing and activating a data governance framework to ensure the implementation and adoption of a consistent approach to well-managed, high-quality, trusted data. You’ll work closely with our technology enablement teams to ensure effective configuration and fit-for-purpose use of cutting-edge tools to enable true business outcomes. You will drive innovation, mentor team members, and contribute to the evolution of our practice.

 

This role has been designated as a remote position allowing qualified talent throughout the listed country to be considered for the opportunity.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

After an initial training period, a Data Strategy Lead Consultant will be expected to:

  • Deliver unique solutions to clients across industries, including but not limited to Financial Services, Pharma & Life Sciences, Manufacturing, and Utilities
  • Lead components of large-scale governance programs aligned with Syniti’s Governance Methodology.
  • Conduct requirements analysis, data analysis, and create reports which clearly and succinctly convey the results
  • Manage small teams of consultants to deliver outcomes against project plans
  • Engage with clients, demonstrating deep data governance expertise and insight
  • Support pre-sales activities including RFP responses, SOW development, and resource planning
  • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to Syniti leadership and client project teams
  • Evaluate and contribute to governance framework design through stakeholder collaboration and analysis
  • Contribute to the enhancement and continuous improvement of our Practice’s standard methodologies, assets, and processes
  • Promote best practices in business process design, implementation, and adoption
  • Mentor junior consultants and foster expertise development.

 

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including ERP (SAP preferred) and digital transformation projects
  • Familiar with core data domains (Material, Customer, Vendor, Financial)
  • Strong grasp of data governance, maturity models, quality, metadata, and master data processes
  • Skilled in SQL, Excel, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Excellent client-facing, communication, and executive reporting skills
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, consultancy environments
  • Willingness to travel up to 100%

 

Preferred Experience

  • Governance leadership in regulated industries (e.g., Financial Services, Life Sciences)
  • Tools: SAP MDG, Information Steward, Talend, Informatica, Collibra
  • Data cataloging, lineage, metadata management
  • Data stewardship and literacy programs
  • Organizational Change Management
  • Thought leadership (e.g., white papers, webinars, speaking engagements)
  • Agile/hybrid delivery using Jira, Confluence, Monday, or Asana
  • Certifications: CDMP, DGSP, PMP, or equivalent
