The ROLE

As a Data Strategy Principal Consultant, you’ll lead clients through complex governance challenges, delivering end-to-end programs with a focus on data quality, governance, and master data management. You’ll apply Syniti’s Governance Methodology (or similar frameworks), manage cross-functional teams, and drive business outcomes. This role includes significant leadership responsibility and spans all project phases—from discovery to solution design and delivery.

 

This role has been designated as a remote position allowing qualified talent throughout the listed country to be considered for the opportunity.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

After initial training, the Data Strategy Principal Consultant will:

  • Lead and deliver complex governance programs across industries using Syniti’s Governance Methodology
  • Facilitate blueprint workshops to define future-state governance solutions
  • Manage governance projects, teams, and delivery plans
  • Advise on governance tools with business and technical stakeholders
  • Ensure best practices are applied and communicated across workstreams
  • Liaise with client PMOs and oversee contract compliance
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Support pre-sales efforts, including RFPs, SOWs, and resource planning
  • Drive knowledge transfer and continuous learning
  • Update governance frameworks and training materials with best practices
  • Contribute to recruitment strategy and resourcing needs
  • Lead governance training initiatives and mentor junior team members

 

 

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 12+ years of ERP experience (SAP preferred)
  • Certified Data Governance Professional or equivalent
  • Proven track record in full-cycle governance program delivery
  • Expertise in data management disciplines (e.g., MDM, Data Governance, Architecture)
  • Skilled in SQL and data analysis
  • Strong communication, customer service, and adaptability
  • Project management experience; PMP or similar preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 100% based on client needs
