THE ROLE

We are recruiting talented and motivated individuals to join our team delivering data projects for clients across the globe. As a Master Data Management Consultant, you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Master Data Management solutions that help organizations manage their critical data assets effectively.

You will work under the guidance of senior consultants and project leads to learn data governance practices, data modeling, data integration, and MDM platform functionalities. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for data management, and a desire to grow into a specialized consultant.

 

This role has been designated as a remote position, allowing qualified talent throughout the listed country to be considered for the opportunity.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

After an initial training period, a Master Data Management Consultant will be expected to:

  • Align with Syniti’s MDM Methodology in all data governance implementation and adoption activities
  • Participate in team problem-solving efforts, contributing ideas to effectively solve client issues
  • Assist in configuring and tailoring solutions to meet client needs
  • Collaborate closely with a team of consultants, both on-site and virtually
  • Contribute to the enhancement and continuous improvement of our practice’s standard methodologies and processes
  • Identify risks and issues, escalating appropriately to the correct individuals on the project
  • Suggest root cause analyses and solutions with team members
  • Approach project constraints with an analytical mindset, actively contributing to resolution
  • Perform unit testing independently to ensure functionality aligns with requirements
  • Understand key data governance concepts and core documents, including data standards, policies, procedures, and charters
  • Deliver consistent, complete, and accurate work products

 

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical/analytical discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Participation in multiple ERP or Digital Transformation programs

Understanding of:

  • Core data governance concepts and principles
  • Data maturity models, data quality, and metadata management
  • Master data creation and maintenance processes and workflows
  • Complex data models
  • Databases, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL (including relational databases, table structures, and query languages)
  • Creating complex SQL objects for data transformation and analysis
  • Developing data definitions, standards, and models in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Applying prior knowledge and experience to new functional situations
  • Communicating complex data issues in business-friendly language, clearly and succinctly
  • Integration techniques appropriate for various use cases
  • Managing time effectively and pivoting across multiple parallel activities
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% based on project requirements

 

Bonus points for:

  • Knowledge of SAP, particularly core data domains such as material, customer, vendor, financial master data, and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
  • Experience with tools and platforms such as Syniti MDM, SAP MDG, SAP Information Steward, Talend, Informatica, Collibra, etc.
  • Prior consultancy or client-facing roles
