The ROLE
The Lab Systems Architect reports to the Director of Education (Operations & Delivery) contributing through their technical prowess to implement and maintain internal Education systems and environments in alignment with the growing capabilities and offerings from the Syniti Education Services department. You will primarily serve the needs of the Education Services department colleagues across all functions including Curriculum and Delivery, contributing to the ongoing success of the department.
This role has been designated as a Remote position allowing qualified talent throughout the listed country to be considered for the opportunity.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide technical oversight for the design, implementation and provisioning of Learning Lab environments supporting eLearning and Instructor Led classes
- Manage and maintain Learning Lab snapshots as configuration defects are identified
- Set and optimize Learning Lab environment usage policy in collaboration with Coordinators and Leadership
- Review Learning Lab VM usage reports and metrics, tracking against planned usage and budget
- Support LMS integration to Learning Labs via provision of environmental technical details: Project ID, Blueprint ID, Policy ID, etc
- Serve as the primary escalation point for Learning Lab related issues
- Liaise with solution providers to resolve complex issues, while growing in-depth knowledge of the platforms.
- Manage user training account allocation and resets to meet learning demand
- Keeps up to date with new feature releases on Education platforms
- Architect and estimate work effort to implement technical requirements for initiatives.
- Deliver user training on education systems to Syniti colleagues and Partner Instructors
- Determine VM landscape/network requirements
- Coordinate with Migration Product SVP and Team to manage custom lab revert process
- Liaise with training coordinators/leadership to ensure API integration between LMS and lab environments meets specified parameters and behaviours
WHAT IT TAKES
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, an equivalent or commensurate technical experience
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience
- Proficient in SQL language and at least one of the following databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server, IBM DB2 or MySQL
- Experience managing hypervisor solutions
- Experience with SaaS platform architecture and implementation
- Experience working with Microsoft Forms, Power Automate and PowerBI
- Experience working with Windows Server & Azure Active Directory
- Knowledge of GraphQL Queries & Mutations an advantage
- Syniti Stewardship Tier, ADM, SKP & Migrate (ADMM) an advantage
- Knowledgeable of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Must be detailed oriented and a quick learner
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively
- Able to concurrently manage multiple tasks and consistently complete deliverables on schedule
- Strong work ethic, hands on style
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a collaborative team
- Proven dedication to providing excellent customer service
- Must be capable of interacting with a wide variety of internal/external individuals at all levels
