THE ROLE

The Cloud Compliance Manager will drive the implementation and maintenance of compliance programs across Syniti’s SaaS environments, including FedRAMP High, IL4/IL5, CMMC 2.0 Level 2, ITAR, UK Cyber Essentials+, and SOC2.  This role serves as the point of coordination between external assessors, internal software development, cloud engineering and operations teams, and the broader GRC function.

The ideal candidate understands cloud-native architectures and can translate compliance requirements into actionable technical control assessments, audit evidence, and operational policies.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Maintain and update compliance documentation, SSPs, POA&Ms, and technical control mappings.
  • Coordinate annual audits and assessments with 3PAOs and internal teams.
  • Track compliance gaps and work with engineering/ops teams to drive remediation activities.
  • Support regional compliance alignment (Cyber Essentials+, SecNumCloud, ITAR).
  • Lead continuous monitoring and compliance reporting programs.
  • Participate in architecture reviews to ensure alignment with compliance requirements.


WHAT IT TAKES

  • • Deep understanding of FedRAMP, CMMC, IL4/IL5, and global data protection frameworks.
  • • Strong organizational and audit management skills.
  • • Excellent communicator across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • • Capable of translating control language into practical engineering implications.


Technical Skills & Experience

  • • 10+ years in IT compliance, audit, or cloud governance roles.
  • • 3+ years experience leading federal (FedRAMP, IL4, etc) SaaS authorization programs.
  • • Familiarity with AWS and Azure architectures and service control policies.
  • • Proficiency in GRC tooling, compliance evidence workflows, and audit traceability practices.
  • • Certifications preferred: CISA, CRISC, CCSK, or equivalent.
