General Summary

The Cloud Operations team provides 24x7x365 support for all Syniti SaaS & Hosting customers globally.  This business unit is responsible for ensuring the uptime, performance and high availability of all customer operations inside of the SaaS & Hosted environments including multi-tiered applications & microservice architectures as well as large & complex multi-terabyte SQL database systems. 

The Senior Project Manager will require both PMP style project management capabilities for IT technology and operations projects as well as agile project management experience in support of release management projects and service transition of newly created services to operations.

This individual will be responsible for tracking, guiding and driving the successful and timely completion of all projects inside of cloud operations in both Agile and PMP style frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as owner of all cloud operations projects
• Drive daily/weekly project calls on a cadence appropriate for the project style and significance
• Deconflict issues within and across projects
• Track critical paths to ensure key task dates are not missed
• Drive project team members to be accountable for hitting task dates and commitments
• Present summary project status to leadership team
• Drive release management process as it pertains to cloud operations ensuring effective service transition from development and design into operations
• Work across cloud ops, SW engineering and other business units to ensure operational readiness for new releases.

• Excellent communication skills and experience in driving cross department initiatives to obtain organizational objectives & meet customer needs
• Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly demanding, dynamic business and cloud operations environment.
• The role requires analytical acumen and solution orientation to probe for understanding and to make appropriate decisions to address the nuances of technical and business challenges in order to achieve the targeted outcome
• Strong customer service orientation
• Strong communication, presentation, business and technical writing skills
• Strong interest in further developing and integrating operations with technology in business value creating ways.

Technical Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in job specific skills
• 6+ years working on agile style projects
• 4+ years working on PMP style projects
• 2+ years working in ITIL aligned service delivery organizations
• 5+ years of experience in facilitating and driving change adoption in organizations.
