THE ROLE

The Senior Manager of Engineering assumes a pivotal leadership role, overseeing multiple engineering teams focused on advancing our product vision. This role involves managing complex project deliverables, contributing to the technical strategy, and aligning team efforts with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include talent management, driving architectural decisions, enhancing system design, implementing software components, and ensuring the application of quality and security best practices.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Hire, mentor, and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion.
  • Manage performance, provide feedback, and ensure professional growth across teams.
  • Optimize processes and enhance collaboration between cross-functional teams.
  • Define and enforce code review standards and security practices to improve quality and security at scale.
  • Oversee the architectural decisions and system implementation for multiple teams.
  • Lead strategic decision-making that impacts technical directions and project outcomes.

 

WHAT IT TAKES: 

  • Extensive experience in software engineering management.
  • Proven ability in leading large teams, strategic planning, and change management.
  • Strong technical background in software engineering, with proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software architecture, system design, and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols and risk management.
  • Ability to drive innovation and implement process improvement at scale.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and managing offshore team members is a plus.
